NetDimensions, a software publisher specialising in online training and performance measurement for corporate and government clients, has found an unusual but appropriate way to publicise its imminent flotation on Aim, writes Clay Harris.
Rather than issue a conventional announcement, NetDimensions is providing passwords to its website, where details of the flotation and the company's business are presented in the same format used in its Enterprise Knowledge Platform.
The virtual roadshow includes a "quiz" about the company and prospects for the markets in which it operates. Current clients include ABN Amro, ING, HSBC, Cathay Pacific and the American Stock Exchange, although NetDimensions expects growth in demand to be highest among mid-market companies.
It made profits of $567,000 (£289,000) on sales of $3.52m in 2006. It aims to raise £1.5m in a placing ahead of flotation. None of the senior managers is selling shares. Teather & Greenwood is stockbroker and nominated adviser.
